Alexis and Nathan Forker's Recovery Journeys

Nathan and I met about 11 years ago now and we used and used and abused drugs and alcohol our entire relationship. We heard of a life outside of that we just didn't know how to get there.

We have twins that we had in 2015 and son that we had in 2019 and we lost custody of all three children. Somehow the loss of the children made us want to use more instead of getting our lives together. We gave birth to our son Nevan on December 15th 2021, he's our fourth child. Throughout all of the chaos and mess we both deeply wanted a family with one another.

Nate finally decided to go to rehab at the Pyramid in East Stroudsburg. He successfully completed his 30-day program and now has a clean date of 7/22/23. He has an active sponsor and attends meetings every day of the week to maintain sobriety and a positive recovery.

I also went to pyramid shortly after Nathan on September 9th 2023. I completed their 30 day program successfully and have been a grateful recovering addict since! We got married with our recovery church CWC on New Years Eve and it was so beautiful. THE CWC of Sunbury and Oasis in Shamokin is where you'll find the both of us and our son Nevan in all of our spare time. A special thanks goes out to them!

Now, we have our family and recover out loud. It feels good to say we did it!
